Then.. I drifted off into a sleep. There I saw birds. That's all. Then I looked down.. I had talons. Talons of a falcon? Then I realized I was a falcon, my eyesight was sharp. I flapped my arms. I flapped them repetitively, and the sad thing was... I actually lifted up into the sky. I glided in the air. I could finally hear the wind in my ears, rushing the other way. I looked down, and I just instinctively flew down and grabbed a lizard. I tasted it.. IT WAS GROSS. First off, why did I eat it? And why could I taste it?
Oh my goodness. I realized that I was actually the bird. I can usually wake myself up, I tried opening my eyes larger, but it wouldn't work! Was I stuck in this alternate universe forever?
"Hello?" I said. Nothing came out, All I heard was the sound of a falcon. It wouldn't work! I couldn't do it. I was going to have to survive, as a falcon. Well.. Last week we did talk about birds of prey... I think there was something about falcons. Oh yeah! Well, I remember that I swooped down to eat that lizard by myself, it was instinct. So many I can just follow my falcon instinct. I thought.
A day had gone by. I watched the sun set. West. WEST! Where could I have been? Then I remembered, I didn't have a lead, falcons lived basically everywhere except Antarctica. Oh well, I thought. I'm just gonna have to live with this. WAIT! I could talk to the other birds here in my bird language. Hmm.. I'll see if they can understand me. I thought.
"Hey!" I cawed.
"Hey, little man!" a bird called to me.
Wait a sec, I'm not a girl anymore? Oh well, this is awkward.
"Hi..." I said surprised.
"You seem.. different."
"Yeah, well, I kinda am."
"What could you mean by that?"
"Um... I'm a human."
The other bird gasped so loud that I felt like my ears were going to explode.
"A HUMAN!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
"Yes."
"Wait.. How are you a bird then? You're pulling my leg."
"You don't have legs."
"IT'S AN IDIOM."
"Well... How would you know? You aren't human..."
"Fine. Bye."
