Vacation Finally!
After my math class is over, I would have finished my musical theater summer camp and my math class. I sadly still have one more week of camp, it's basketball camp. Last year I did basketball camp, and I did it with my friends. All three of us had sore legs for 3 days straight. On the second day last year, we had a playdate and we could barely move for the playdate because of our sore legs. Now, I'm doing it alone with my sister only, and I wanna see if I get sore legs or if I will be fine. Last year it was pretty fun, but not the best. I still can't wait. Hmm.. Is there a name for this blog post? Yes! I'm supposed to be talking about vacation. For vacation my family and I plus my grandparents are going to go to Yellowstone. My family has already been there, but since my grandparents haven't we're going again. In around 2 - 3 weeks from now, we're going to be leaving by car and driving to Yellowstone. It'll be about a 2 week trip, and guess what I've already packed! And the funny thing is, is that my family always goes on road trips, and we rarely go by plane, I've been to basically the entire west side of the U.S.A. because of road trips.

Summer Day (Fun?)
Today is a Saturday, and it's summer. There's never anything to do on Saturdays. Even during school, I had classes on Saturday, but in the summer, Saturdays are just plain boring. On the weekdays of summer I have classes, right? It's fun during the classes (even if it does have to be educational stuff like math), but then after the classes are over I have to play piano and write blog and then do nothing. Oh, but I remembered, I can do my homework! Still, everyone acts like weekends are super fun because there's no school, but when you think about it... If you don't have anything to do at home because you're not on vacation, there's seriously nothing to do. Today, I just talked about how boring Saturdays are, I know I'm so creative. Tomorrow, I might write a blog post on how boring Sundays are. You know..

Summer Math Class
On Monday, I started this match class. We learn math that is around one or two years above our normal math standards. It's a three hour class. In the first hour we learn stuff, and then we have a fifteen minute break. In the fifteen minute break, everyone gets super loud and it's really annoying. Today everyone was talking about some very odd and not very appropriate things. After the weird break we had another math lesson with another teacher, and after that we had break, and then with the forty five minutes remaining we did a test. We do this every single day for two weeks except sometimes for the last 45 minutes we play some games or do something fun. It's okay, I guess but the sad thing is that we have math homework, 20 problems.

Forgetting to Write Blog
On Sunday, I went somewhere, but we came home late because the drive was one hour an thirty minutes. I had not time to write a blog post because it was very late. but it was a very fun day. First we went to this blueberry farm, and we were picking blueberries, we ended up spending $90 on blueberries! But, we also bought this boysenberry jam. The blueberries were $6 for one pint, and we got 9 pints. They were so big and sweet compared to store bought ones. After we went blueberry picking we went to a mall to eat lunch. After lunch we drove to this lake, and we were planning on renting a motorboat to go on the lake. But we didn't find a place to go motor boating, so we just sat there enjoying blueberries, because it would be a waste to drive someplace and then do nothing there. All in all, the trip was pretty fun, but when we drove there I felt like throwing up because we had to drive on mountains. The lake we went to was also very dirty, and there were other people swimming and playing in the lake, but it was gross so we didn't.

Last Day of...
Today was the last day of musical theater summer camp. We just watched our performance, and ate snacks that everyone had brought in. Before he movie we had recess, and we also watched people perform songs to music. The student would pick whatever song they would want to sing and the teacher would play the song on her phone, and she also filmed the person singing with her iPad. It was really fun, but sadly today was the last day of summer camp. I'm keeping this blog post short because the device I'm using to write this is glitching and is making it hard for me to type. I mainly can't tap anything, I am using an iPad.

Performance Time!
Today was the second to last day of summer camp. Since I did musical theater, as I had explained in my previous blog, we performed today in front of a lot of kids and parents, also some teachers. When I first arrived at summer camp we ran through the entire show once and with remaining time practiced other parts. But after recess we practiced for a small amount of time and then, it was time for the performance. The first time we ran through the entire show fully, it took us 58 minutes because the teacher had to tell us to correct and also taking a long time to change the sets. On the day of the performance when we practiced it was only 47 minutes, we narrowed it down by over 10 minutes! For the real show it was a bit longer because of clapping. In the beginning everyone was super nervous, but since Belle had an opening song after the narrators, she was most nervous (also because she's the main character, the Beast is a main character too). The teacher gave us all a pep talk, and we did a circle squeeze to calm us down. The show was around 50 minutes but it felt like 10. It was incredibly fun. In the beginning of musical theater, it wasn't really fun because we didn't do the entire thing together with props and costumes. But because of us being able to change the sets, wear costumes, and use props, it was much more fun. After the performance, we all took pictures and cleaned up. Tomorrow, we're going to have a class party to celebrate our success! This musical theater summer camp has been super fun.
